Are you interested in a career in the electronics industry but lack the technical training to land even an entry-level job?

How would you like to get the education you need from a reputable, accredited program for a very reasonable investment? Would you like to supplement your classroom learning with hands-on experience?

What if that program could put you on track for a job with a stable company offering excellent benefits?

Sound too good to be true? Believe it. And it can be yours.

Thanks to JT3 LLC and the College of Southern Nevada (CSN), you can get the training you need to begin your new career. With a specialized Associate of Applied Science Degree, you’ll be ready to go straight to work for us as an Electronics Technician I*.

About the Degree
An Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from CSN includes studies of analog and digital circuit design, implementation and testing, fabrication techniques, fiber optics, telecommunications, and microprocessor programming and interface.

The program includes specialized electives to specifically tailor your skills to obtain a position as an Electronics Technician. Along the way, you’ll gain practical skills and knowledge that can take you straight from CSN’s hands-on, state-of-the-art classrooms to an exciting career with JT3. About the Jump Start Program
Once you complete the six courses described below, you can apply with JT3 for a position as an Electronics Technician**. If you are hired, you must continue and complete the degree program for advancement to higher-level technician positions within the company.

If you are hired, JT3 may:

• Offer up to a $3500 sign-on bonus to cover out-of-pocket tuition costs.
• Pay for the rest of your classes through JT3’s Employee Education Training and Assistance Program (EETAP).
• Allow you to attend up to 15 hours of classes each week while you’re on the job.

Here’s how to get your Jump Start
  1. Make sure you are eligible to work at JT3. The requirements include:
    • U.S. citizenship
    • Passing a drug screening
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Willingness to work in remote locations in Nevada

  2. Contact JT3 to sign up for the Jump Start Program

  3. Apply for CSN’s Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology**

  4. Enroll in and complete the following courses with a 3.0 GPA or higher***:
    • MATH 111B: Advanced Mathematics for Electronics
    • ET 131B: DC for Electronics with lab
    • ET 132B: AC for Electronics with lab
    • ET 212B: Digital Logic I
    • ET220B: Solid State Devices and Circuits I
    • ET 228B: Data Acquisition

  5. Apply for an Electronics Technician I position with JT3.
  6. If hired, complete the degree and program requirements.
About JT3:
JT3 LLC is a joint venture company combining the management skills, military experience, and technical knowledge of EG&G and Raytheon. Supporting the J-Tech contract, JT3 and its teammates provide engineering and technical expertise to four western military ranges for testing of new and modified weapons systems, new tactics development, and ongoing military training.
